26

It’s been all my life that I’ve been praised of my young age wherever I went and did the things I did at the time, which I’m sure most of you were, being a teenager in a foreign country, getting your first pay check from your first company, or even just going to the hospital for a simple health check when the doctor told you how he was still struggling as a medical student in the Japanese suburbs when he was your age.

Stepping into the second half of our twenties is exciting, yet challenging, as more responsibilities are to be held, more concrete plannings are to be done, and more care is to be given to one’s own body.

Being told young felt evolutionarily good as we were unconsciously made to think that we still had many more years to ‘survive’.

We do, in the end, find the things that make us feel young again naturally with exercise and healthy diet, and unnaturally with botox and the likes.

However that goes, nothing can refresh our soul better than spending time with the people we love, keeping our minds open to other people’s perspective, opinions and beliefs, and just letting it go & agree to disagree when their opinions and beliefs are too strongly built into their minds.

Oh well, happy birthday to me! 😂
