If we go on and carry the assumption that there is an intellectual limit, an encounter with other living things in this universe, or any other universe, would be of the impossible, for one has to be equally intelligent in emotional ego to prevent long-span, slow but certain, self-extinction.
This therefore, can be self-explanatory why aliens or such things never came to our planet and tried to communicate with us, for they would have been extinct before they managed to do that.
